Bowling and softball both use teamwork. In both sports I need to cheer my teammates on to encourage them whether they are up to bat or up on the lane. Communication is also a big part of teamwork. In bowling, it is important to communicate with my teammates so they know how the lanes are or where they should throw the ball to adjust. In softball, it's necessary to communicate where the runner is going so the person making the play knows where they should throw the ball and can do it quickly.
Another similarity is they both use balls. The balls that you use in bowling are much bigger than softballs. They have 3 holes in them for your fingers and can be any color. Softballs are lime green and have 2 seems that go down the sides used for gripping.

In softball my coach is much more harder on me then my bowling coach. My softball coach is always yelling when there is a mistake made where my bowling coach just tries to help us out by nicely correcting the mistake. My softball coach is very short and has a little bit of a belly where my bowling coach is very tall.
They also take place in different places and seasons. Bowling season is often in the winter where it's very warm inside. Bowling takes place on allies where softball takes place on a field. On the field it is very hot because softball is a summer sport. The field is made up of limestone in the infield and grass in the outfield. If the field is really nice, the grass is fake and made of turf.
