Introduction
Psychology is a science that deals with the functionality and behavioral trends of the human mind. It is a vast subject and can be sub-divided into several different branches. Even though the different branches of psychology have their own way of perceiving things, they all have a common purpose. Let’s take a look at some of these.

Abnormal Psychology
This field of psychology analyzes abnormal behavior and psychopathology. It can relate to any sort of disorders ranging from obsessive compulsive disorder to depression. It applies to people whose behavior cannot be considered normal. Abnormal psychology is considered as the most popular field of psychology.

Behavioral Psychology
Behavioral psychology is a branch of psychology that implies the theory that conditioning or circumstances faced by individuals over a period of time play a vital part in influencing his or her behavior. This used to be the most prominent branch of psychology years ago, but its importance has subsided over time. Comparative psychology refers to the study of animal behavior which in turn is applied in order to gain a better understanding of human psychology.
