Brief Comparison Between Jane Goodall's Life And Work
Jane Goodall was born April 3, 1934, in London, England. She was born into a middle class family as the oldest daughter of three. Her mother, Vanne Morris-Goodall, was a novelist and her father, Mortimer Herbert Morris-Goodall, was an engineer in World War II. Since her father worked as an engineer, it caused trouble in their marriage and led to a divorce. When Jane was about 10 or 11, she dreamed of living and observing exotic animals in their natural habitats in Africa. Her mother encouraged Jane’s dream at an early age, which eventually became a reality. As a child, Jane observed animals, made notes and sketches and read the literature of zoology and ethology. to Africa by the National Geographic Society to film Jane working with primates in their natural habitats. In 1964, Van Lawicks and Goodall fell in love and married. During this time, they had one son, Hugo Eric Van Lawicks, whose nickname was Grub.Ten years later, they divorced. A year later she remarried to Derek Bryceson. In 1977, Jane founded the Jane Goodall Institution for Wildlife Research and Education. Three years later, Jane’s second husband lost his long battle to cancer.
