The author shows how scared she was, and in the back of the book it talks about her keeping in touch with the other plane passengers, when she felt the most frightened, what was the most difficult part for her, her contact with the hijackers, her life after the hijacking, and why she chose to write this book after forty-five years. The author, Miriam said she felt the most frightened during the hijack when the hijacker first came through the curtain at the beginning, waving a gun, and how bad the hijackers hand was shaking. The most difficult part for Miriam was not being able to tell her parents that she was alive.
