Brief Summary Of The Episode 'Pilot'

In the episode "Pilot" from Breaking Bad the lesson that pride becomes before a fall is excellently taught. From the start of the episode we see Walt's struggle with his pride. He feels unfilled with his job as a teacher; this hit to his pride is hurt even more by his job at a car wash when he has to clean one of his students cars. Walt also struggles with the fact that his brother-in-law has a successful and well paying job. He is also hurt by the fact that the rest of his family and in laws do not see him as a masculine figure especially compared to his brother-in-law who is a police officer.
