Brief Summary Of 'The Town' By Taylor Pike
The Town By Taylor Pike The family peered through the window, terrified; as the horseman prowled the street looking for another victim. The horseman only comes out in October to terrorize the people of the town and on, All Hallows' eve he comes to his full strength. He'd roamed the streets looking for a new victim night after night and take them away never to be seen again. As the children look through the window of the house as the Horseman walked by. The little boy looked at his mother "Mother," he said quietly "is he coming to get us?" He asked as the horseman looked at the window. The horseman took a step towards the house and the little girl started to scream; her mother covered her mouth with her hand in an attempt to silence her. She was too late! The horseman was all ready on his way over. When he got to the window, he grabbed the father and dragged him, threw the window "help me!!" he yelled as he grabbed at the window sill. The Horseman wrenched him free and dragged him on his horse; then took off into the woods. The family stood at the window and …show more content…
There was a long sickening silence there had been 14 people taken in the past two weeks and people relaxed as no one answered until a young boy said " My father was taken sir." Everyone gasped as the boy spoke. The mayor took the family for questioning in the town hall. They go into the town hall and the mayor finds them. " Did you see his face?" It was the same question as always but he only ever got one answer. " He had no face" the daughter said. It was the only answer he had not heard; he always heard "no" or got some weird drawing of a horse head. So he called the town together again and said " We have made a new discovery" He paused " The horseman has no head! Therefore, from now on he shall be known as the Headless Horseman."
