Descriptive Writing
I'm in band class standing at my bass drum in the concluding hours of school. It happens to be a Tuesday on this fine September 18th. Then my ears began to ring. I guess since I'm so use to loud banging drums, my ears ring, I'm not quite sure. I then heard the metallic and electronic sound that is tuned to a B natural, what normal people would call a bell, and dash to the bus stop to meet her. I had recently met this amazing girl, and it turns out that she has a liking for me. Today is the day I am going to “pop the question”. I walk through the crowded hallway of anxious and raucous high schoolers, speed through the lunchroom, and finally head out the back doors of the high school to meet my future girlfriend, hopefully. I push open the metal and beaten up doors to be blinded by the sun; the bus stop was on the west side of the building. Rushing past everyone, I think some people may have said “hi” to me, and ignoring the world. I make a beeline straight toward that beaming smile, short dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She would occasionally wear a scarf or graphic tee. My ears started ringing again as I approach her. I arrive in her embrace and my muffled voice asks how her day was, and she responds with something generic, yet it sounds like an angel. We decide to unwind, therefore we seat our bodies on the bench momentarily. Regular conversation began to unfold, and pretty soon after there was an awkward silence. Now was my chance to request a more serious friendship. I grab her hand, and without hesitation I lead her to a confidential place. I hear my heart pounding like a hammer on a nail, and every step I take is a step closer to great success or great failure. I have butterflies in my stomach. My nervous feeling is even more heightened just because I am in the moment, and there is no turning back. As we arrive and she looks puzzled, but simultaneously she has this look as if she knew every
