Bright City Lights
Bright City Lights Tall buildings towering over each other, people scurrying around trying to move to place to place, and bright lights that glow all throughout the night, all those characteristics make a city. The fast paced city is what makes it such a wonderful place. The city has many things for a person to take part in making there never to be a boring moment and plenty of options to choose from. There are countless job opportunities that fit the society as well, making it easier for anyone who lives in the city to find a job. Living in the city also introduces people to different kind of cultures and helps a person become more accepting. In a hundred subtle ways, the city helps society become more successful and better as a whole rather than living in the country. By living in the city, there are countless of things for children, teenagers, and adults to participate in. While in the city, there are beautiful parks to stroll though, interesting museums to visit, and plenty of stores to buy clothes, and anything other activity a person could imagine of. Not only are there a ton of activities to participate in, there are also many fascinating people that make up cities, who are just waiting to be met. It is impossible for a person to ever become bored while living in the city due to of all the thrilling things to participate in.
When it comes time to finding a job, most people resort to the city in hopes to find work. Since there are more activities to do in a city that means that there will be more job opportunities. One could be surprised how many job opportunities that are offered in the city. Some jobs are only offered in big cities due to the demand of a higher population. Larger cities have many job openings and offer a wider variety of job opportunities that can possibly fit the skills of different workers. Therefore, job openings can be for anyone. Since cities are squished together and everything is right next to each other, it makes it easier to move to and from work because buses and trains are available. Living in the city causes a person to be more acceptable towards society because the exposure to many different types of people. In the city, because there are many people who come from different place, with different lifestyles, different actions. So because there are many different types of people, a person has to learn to be accepting and tolerant of one another in the workforce, and overall in society. Whether it is wandering in a huge unfamiliar group of people or a casual stroll throughout the park, constantly meeting strangers, a person is truly never alone in the city. Meeting new people is essential in life because that is how a person earns social skills and keeps them in touch with society. The world is entirely on a person’s doorstep when they live in the city, it is just all laid out there for them to explore.
Disregarding the fact that the city is more up lively than living in the country, people who live in the country could argue that even though there are more things to participate in the city, it is not always a safe environment. They could claim that raising children in the country is a safer option than in the city because there are less people and everyone knows one another in the country. They could also argue that just because there are more activities to take part in, it does not mean that they are inexpensive. They could believe that living in the city is more expensive than living in the country. Someone could disagree with there being more job opportunities in the city being an advantage because with there being many businesses, it would be hard to be self-employed. Also, when living in the country, people tend to shop and use businesses closer to where they live, therefore a person could argue how not many shops or businesses close down because they are needed. People who live in the country could also disagree how living in the city develops great social skills because when a person lives in the country, everyone knows one another and everyone tends to be friendly and polite to each other. Citizens who live in the country could also argue that when they live in the city, they do not really receive a space of their own which they do in the country. Even though living in the city has its minor downfalls such as being overly expensive, always in a cluster of traffic, and the feeling crowded, the rewards of being able to wake up in such a beautiful, busy place is worth the hassle and greatly outweighs the negatives. One of the better things of living in a city is being able to find anything to do at any time of the day or night. There is never a boring night in the city, for the city never sleeps. Finding jobs in the city is also another great advantage than living in the country as well as being able to gain those much needed social skills. A person could not possibly learn such social skills and acceptance of others if they were to be cooped up in a house surrounded by miles and miles of fields. The city is such a mysterious and beautiful place just waiting to be explored.
