Although in the story mongooses attack snakes there is more evidence that is inaccurate. In a recent video I watched it said that mongooses traveled in
groups. Those groups go up to 40 mongooses. However in the story he doesn't do that. And to add more nonsense the story has a talking mongoose, snake, and any other animal in the story. The habitat in the story is at a house with a family who saved his life and helped him after he nearly drowned. He lived with them and has the as family and saved their lives, not once, not twice, but three times. Two of them were from cobras. In a National Geographic video I watched were there was mongoose vs a cobra. The cobra tried to strike, but failed multiple times, until the mongoose got him first try, with what looked like he wasn't thinking about it. When he goes after the first cobra in the house, he gets up on something and jumps down on the cobra. But like the National Geographic video the mongoose would just go up to him and strike, and not think about it. In the story the mongoose gets washed up and got put back to life by getting warm. And inaccurately portray the animals in the story. In the story the author Rudyard Kipling didn't portray an animal’s actions and habitat correctly in the story Rikki Tikki Tavi.
