Mission Statement:
I will show Brookside Community Hospital that by accepting my proposal to allow Black Computer Systems Inc. to complete delivery on our current contract, while Brookside finalizes payments to Black Computer Systems Inc. for said contract that did not require data entry software development, and signs a new contract with Black to develop hospital specific data entry software and electronic forms for Brookside that are compatible with the newly installed interface systems, Brookside will continue to enjoy the benefits of the improved systems already in place while working toward a fully integrated system within one year and allowing staff members to continue to become accustomed to the new systems without a great deal of additional training costs or the need to start from square one with a new system.
Issues: Was Black responsible for developing the data entry software: Depth: Highly significant
This is the primary issue to be resolved. If this is resolved then the rest of the issues should fall in line. Brookside would be liable for the terms of the contract.
Who will develop and implement the data entry technology: Significant.
Black feels that this is ultimately Brookside’s responsibility to get this data entry software in place, but is willing t assist if Brookside is willing to pay. The contract does not explicitly state that Black is responsible, and with a task as involved and expensive as this, the contract should probably be clear in this respect if Black is to be held responsible.
Finalize delivery and payment of original order.: Highly Significant
Black would like to be paid 4.2 million for completion of the original contract and to deliver the product as planned. Brookside will have to move to electronic records one way or the other, and to scrap a system that is nearly complete would not make sense.
Black’s Interests:
1. Justice/fair-play - Important – Black would like to be paid for the work that
