Using Exeter College as your chosen organisation for Task 3 you are required to investigate its use of marketing research as part of your evaluation into representing the company.

To improve your marketing skills, in Task 4 you have also been asked to look at the segmentation and targeting of different customer groups. This will help you to look further than just one target market for each product/service.

You have also been asked to produce information sheets on examples of segmentation and targeting. Explaining how and why groups of customers are targeted for selected products.

Choose six different products/services from one of the organisations you have examined so far, and six different target groups.
(You should include products for both consumer and business to business markets).

In each information sheet you need to:
Describe the product/service
Describe the target group and explain why this group has been selected for this product as opposed to others
Explain what method of segmenting the market has been used?
Explain how the group of customers are targeted for selected products
