Adaptions which may be necessary:
Physical disability; If a child has difficulty with arm movements or their grasp I could assist them when necessary, such as placing counters
Visual/auditory impairment; If there is a child with a visual impairment in the classroom I would have to sound out the number clearly to them so they can hear it and help them place the counter over the correct number on their board, I should check their board each time to see if they have got bingo.
If there is a child in the classroom who cannot hear then I should use number cards and hold them up high so the child can see it clearly.
Language/communication barrier; If there is a child in the classroom that doesn’t speak fluent English then I could use number cards, when explaining the rules of the activity I will speck very clearly , use hand gestures and demonstrate so that they understand what the activity involves.
Learning disability; If a child has a learning disability I should make sure I speak clearly so the child understands what to do and what the activity involves before I carry out the activity, I should also try and work with the child on a one to one basis at time to time during the activity to make sure they aren’t struggling with it and
