I have chosen to read and write about “My Favorite Teacher” by Thomas L. Friedman. Teachers are on top of the list when it comes to my biggest influencers. They are the ones I spent most of my childhood with and whom I learned the most from. Friedman’s essay is relatable in his writing of a teacher's impact on his life.…
My favorite teacher was the head of the math department, graduated with a Ph.D. in math, and a grader of the calculus AP tests, but still respected the intelligence of every one of student and encouraged questions, even gave up his lunch hours for students to come in if they had any questions. He was my math educator for two years of my high school experience. He was my educator of math analysis and calculus. He valued math so much that the math analysis class was not called trigonometry class because he felt there was more than…
Life is unexpected experience, so full of surprises that nobody knows what will happen the very next moment, especially when you meet a person who has the ability to change your life in complete way. Most of us have met a teacher during our lifetime in school that made a difference and touched our lives in some way to make it better and to open our eyes for success.…
In China, people always say, “If three people are walking together, at least one is good enough to be another’s teacher”, which means you will always be influenced by someone else in your life. For me, many people have affected me, such as my grandmother, my father, and my high school physics teacher. Each of them has some talents and characters that I really want to learn. I admire my father’s great enterprise and noble spirit. His strong spirit always influences me when I face challenges or make big decisions. My grandmother’s thoughtfulness teaches me how to take care of myself well when I am alone and I learn that people would be nice to you when you treat them in a friendly way. Also my high school physics teacher is one of the greatest people I have ever met. He was the one who helped me most when I was growing up to an adult. I cannot think of anyone else who has influenced me more than him or her.…

Passing the first months he was getting worst. Every Thursday we had to present a work in front of the class and a judge panel about 4 or 5 people, people choose by him and most of them friend of, people arrogant, people who think that they deserve everything in the whole world.…

He had a reputation; many did not hold him as high of a regard. It took me a while to understand why on earth such a difficult subject taught by a difficult teacher would bring me any enjoyment. To the point I'd study it for another 8 years.…
Islam is the last of the great religions and contains in itself the essential principles of all earlier religions. Islam is a strongly monotheistic religion with the worship of One God as its central theme. Islam was founded by the Prophet Muhammad some 1400 years ago, and establishes the continuity of God's revelation which had descended upon earlier prophets such as Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus. Islam, in fact, requires its followers to believe in all earlier prophets and Scriptures. According to Islam all the great religions that preceded it were revealed by God to His chosen messengers.…
The story, "An Incident in the Shabashi Household" plays an excellent role in woman vs. the constructs of arranged marriages. This story was taken place in Egypt in the twentieth century where women's freedom was quite limited. In the Arabic culture women were usually sold into marriages by their parents and never had any say into their decision making. However, this story pertains to the Egyptian lifestyle in many different ways.…

Mrs. Anderson reputations precede her as one of the most innovative English Language teacher at the Norman Manley High School. I can attest to her innovative skills when I was first introduce to her in fifth form; she exuded English in every manner, the suttle tone of her voice in which she spoke, with an accent as if she was born in Britain but on the contrary she was a Jamaican. She said to my class on the first day that “She promised she would provide us with the tools we needed to succeed but it was up to us how much we would take from her class”. Her innovative teaching methods begun when she acknowledged the complexity of the students linguistic situation and specific language problems which deserve explicitly structured attention based on the result of her first test to indentified how students at the fifth form level thus far was grasping or understanding English language was very poor. Sadly my personal grade on the test was forty five percent, As a result of the poor grades; Mrs. Anderson reinvented her curriculum and implemented a system where each week, students would submit various assignments based on the area of their weakness. My weakness at the time was grammatical structure when answering various questions and grammar errors found when writing essays. She would assign me to complete various language structure questions and mechanics to improve on my area of weakness. Willing to do anything to salvage my failing grade, I did my assignments and quickly improved in my weak areas and ended up getting a ninety-five percent on the following test. English Language became one of my favorite classes, simply because Mrs. Anderson teaching methods were so effective, I think all of my teachers are innovative in various ways, I truly appreciate Mrs. Anderson as her approach to teaching was so captivating than any I had every experienced…
