INTRODUCTION
Burns and McDonnell ranks 26th in Fortune’s 2012 list of 100 best companies. Burns & McDonnell, headquartered in Kansas City, is a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm. Our multidiscipline staff of more than 3,600 employee-owners includes engineers, architects, construction experts, planners, estimators, economists, technicians and scientists, representing virtually all design disciplines.
VISION
The plan, design, permit, construct and manage facilities all over the world, with one mission in mind:
“Make our clients successful”. The company vision is to “improve the quality of life” not only for their clients and their community, but also for the employee. The goal of the company is to help each employee. The company think that the employees are their asset.

Just by working at burns and mcdonnell employees are eligible to participate in the employee stock ownership plan. Its employee stoke ownership plan (ESOP) is a national ESOP association as one of its finest. As a 100% employee owned firm, employees participate directly in the profitability of the company at no cost the individual. The company shares more information with its employee-owners than any other company. The employees think and act like owners because they all have a stake in the company's financial performance. The success of the firm directly affects individual owner success.
