RACISM
Racism itself is a sub-topic of discrimination. Racism is basically discrimination, or in simple words, hatred or disliking towards a human being because that certain person belongs to another culture or is of another colour which they may not like.
Racism has been happening since the world has been made. Since beginning discrimination on very different occasions has been towards people, in which their fault is only because they were born in a particular culture or were of a particular colour. Despite the modernizing world of today and increasing literacy almost globally, racism is something that still exists, except that now it even haunts us in a business environment where individual hatred conflicts with business objectives and despite that they are willing to follow their individual racist feelings.
We have categorized racism in a business environment into 4 specific categories and have shown with examples of how racism exists despite conflicting with objectives.
The 4 categories of racism are:
1. Racism in business environment
2. Racism within an organisation towards employees
3. Racism towards customers
4. Racism towards suppliers

What is Racism in the Workplace?
Tackling racism is no easy task. Discrimination may be unconscious and management may be unwilling to acknowledge that they may be unwilling to acknowledge that they might be discriminating. Employees may not always recognize the reasons for the treatment they receive. Where they suspect discrimination or they experience harassment, they may not wish to pursue their case for fear of a backlash.
Racism consists of conduct or words or practices which disadvantage or advantage people because of their colour, culture or ethnic origin. It can be subtle or overt, intentional or unwitting.
