I think this is the most important concept for several reasons. First and foremost, it sets the tone for ethical conduct within an organization. By not exhibiting behaviors that are aligned with personal and organizational values your subordinates will lose confidence in your decision making. They will not believe you are acting with their best interest in mind. According to Course 15, the long term implications are that it could affect the retention of quality individuals that are so valuable to the success of the team. This has dire effects on the units ability to complete its mission. Additionally, your superiors will not trust you to promote organizational goals. You will not be utilized to your full potential which also decreases the units ability to complete its mission. I plan to establish an environment for ethical behavior by applying the following principles. First, I will not rewarding unethical behavior my peers will respect me for always acting impartially, and consistently. Then, I will earn my subordinates trust by fairly correcting unethical behavior, but forgiving them and providing them opportunities to correct their mistakes. Finally, I will gain the confidence of my supervisors by taking appropriate corrective action when serious deviations occur. By using these ethical behaviors I will enhance the capabilities of my unit, and make it a more effective tool for the Air
