Business Research Ethics
When asking most people about ethics and morals, many think it is knowing the difference between right and wrong. A different way to define “ethics” is to focus on the disciplines that study standards of conduct, such as philosophy, theology, law, psychology, or sociology (Resnik, 2011). Regardless what area of the real estate industry you’re in finance, marketing, management, operations, and facilities require a close relationship with ethic and how ethics work.
In this article a Denver veterans file discrimination complaint, say housing is dangerous. Figuring this article would be a perfect fit for Business Research Ethics. Fourth Quarter Partners LLLP, the owner, and Burgwyn Residential Management Services had unethical behavior problems that affected many that suffered from their mistakes. In many ways the complaints by the residents opened many concerns around ethics displayed in this situation. The organization was founded to assist homeless and disabled veterans with low-rent. The concerns the residents have are security, health, sanitary issues, and discrimination in several areas.
Fourth Quarter Residences is a brain child of two former NFL players William "Bo" Matthews and Claudie Minor Jropening with great expectations the open the doors in February 23, 2011 (McGhee, 2014). With this being a Godsend too many, the occupancy was high. Now more than a few years later the residents are not feeling safe due to people sleeping in the halls and stairwells of the complex. This has people urinating and defecating outside their front doors. Handicapped facilities are out of order and lock majority of the time. Many of the tenants are racially profiled against being place on a segregated floor that is just one race. With the issues that this business has going on many codes of ethics are not being meet.
