Proposal: Efficiency and Collaboration with Microsoft Excel

Table of Contents:
Proposal……..……………………………………………………………………………….…….
Summary……………………………………………………………………………………………

TO: KEVIN WILLIAMS, PRESIDENT/CEO
FROM: OLIVA AGUIRRE, MONICA CARTER, MARISOL OSUNA, ANA VELAZCO

SUBJECT: IMPROVING EFFICENCY

PROPOSAL:
Discount Part Supplies has now been open for three years and the volume of our customers has rapidly increased within the last fiscal year. In order to keep up with our supply and demand it is vital that we pursue a more efficient method of record keeping. The use of pen and paper to track Sales and Customer Data is becoming outdated. Our competitors are currently upgrading their form of record keeping by converting to a more proficient and well-organized method.
As a growing retail store the need to incorporate an updated information system is imperative and essential to help the Sales and Inventory Department. This streamline transition will also benefit other areas of the company. Computer literacy has been a main concern in choosing the correct user-friendly software as well as meeting the requirements this company needs to advance. There are two information systems available for us to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. After carefully researching both programs we propose Microsoft Excel. The summary will elaborate why and how this program best fits the required criteria for this modification.
