Describe the business strategy in the context of selected organization (vision, mission, objective, goal, core competencies)
I selected Cargill’s Ceylon PLC which is under register the Colombo stock exchange.
History of Cargill’s Ceylon PLC
Cargill’s Ceylon PLC the Sri Lankan giant in retail supermarket and food industry was established in 1844 which was built on a strong foundation of values and ethics guided by trusted leadership for the development of the food industry.
Cargill’s dominates the supermarket chain being the largest retailer with more than 200 outlets across the island .The group also boasts of its manufacturing brands such as Cargill’s Supremo /Finest (processed meats), Cargill’s Kist( biscuits ,jams, sauces, cordials, nectar, water) , Kotmale( dairy products ) , 3 Coins Beer and Cargill’s Magic( ice cream ) which lead sectoral growth. Its KFC franchise is the largest international restaurant chain in Sri Lanka. Millers Ltd, which is the marketing and distribution arm, spreads across the island.
Cargill’s Ceylon PLC focuses on helping farmers, collaborate with customers to create better products, streamline supply chains, save energy, reduce costs and moving good to every corner. The Cargill’s diversified as,

Strategy is identifies the approaches to be used for accomplishing the objectives in an organization. A company’s strategy must answer the following three questions.
1. What business are we in?
2. How to compete within the business?
3. By what means will the strategy be implemented?
