The first cake was made in the early times of the Egyptian era. The Egyptians didn’t create cake, they were just the first ones to start baking, so it lead up to the wonderful creation of cake. Then in the 13th century the oxford dictionary found traces of the word cake in it. The word cake came from an Old Norse word “kaka”.This cake was more or less like a piece of bread with honey on it. Then in the European's made cakes like fruit cake and other kinds like that. Those cakes lasted for months because of the ingredients they used. The first traces of cakes nowadays went back to the 1700’s when they started putting frosting and decorating it for looks.
