From time to time, people move for many reasons. There are many changes they may encounter. I once thought that if people lived in one state and moved to another they would have similar living conditions, but that is not true. In my case, I lived in Texas but was originally born and raised in California. Learning to adapt to a new environment was troublesome in many different ways. Living in Texas is different than living in California in regards to the education, people, and culture.

When I first moved to Texas and was adjusting to my surroundings the people that I encountered were welcoming. My neighbor would lend us a helping hand and offered home baked goods although typically clichéd it was true. There were very polite and approachable people in Texas. Another good quality is that they are extreme sports fanatics since they only have one sports team, the San Antonio Spurs basketball team. The Spurs mean everything to the people of San Antonio. The weather in Texas is unpredictable and changes drastically unlike California where it is always sunny. It rains constantly in Texas throughout the day. Also, there is humidity which makes it feel like you are walking through a sauna. Some days are intolerable to be outside since humidity makes you feel sticky and sweaty most of the time. We would also have thunderstorm and tornado warnings. The power frequently went out depending on how strong the thunderstorms were. It can even take the whole day to get the power back on. This is a burden for some people who need the power
