All Canadians value freedom but the majority of Canadians share the belief that the government has a positive role in protecting this freedom and are willing to rely upon the state for protection and will permit the state to infringe upon their freedom if it ensures security.
Canadians are perceived worldwide as being fair and kind. That is because equality
is essential to Canadians. Canadians believe everyone should have an equal vote, equal access to health care and a more or less equal opportunity to participate and succeed. Canadians support government intervention to make their society more egalitarian.
Canadians share a common attitude towards the governments. In turn for high income taxes we expect the government and its officials should be accountable to the people and we expect the government to intervene when necessary to support equality and freedom.
