Furthermore, modern Canadian culture is more about the acceptance of many different ethnicities into Canadian society and the promotion of diversity rather than uniformity. If Central Canada were to leave the confederation, we would lose the self identity they have put upon themselves and being canadian would no longer have any meaning as the foundation of our definition is gone. For example, American and Japanese automobile companies uses the manufacturing sector of Central Canada as the labour is cheap and highly skilled. Furthermore, Central Canada is close to the America making the region an good starting place to set up a company as its close to the country where transporting products will be cheaper and is in the same time zone of major american cities on the east coast so time inefficiency cannot become a problem.
