“Love is heavy and light, bright and dark, hot and cold, sick and healthy, asleep and awake- its everything except what it is! (Act 1, scene 1)” says romeo from the play Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare. Romeo and juliet is a play about to star crossed lovers that have to fight through their rival families issues and hatred for each other. I argue that romeo is cancer because he is loving and overly emotional when it comes to women.
Romeo is loving to his lover Juliet where he is willing to sacrifice anything for her when he says " I take thee at thy word call me but love and i’ll be new baptized henceforth I will never be romeo”. What he is saying to juliet is, say you love me and I will change my name and never be romeo again. So romeo was willing to sacrifice anything for juliet because a fundamental for love is sacrifice. If he is willing to sacrifice his name for her this proves that he cares and loves her.
