Relative Risk
This is a measurement between of relationship between cancer and risk factors. This compares the development risk in the developing cancer in people that do not have this trait. All cancers entail the failure of genes that control division and cell growth, five percent of all cancers are known as strongly hereditary.
In 2013 there were 1,660,290 new cases expected, there were also 580, 350 Americans expected to die of cancer. Cancer is the second common cause of death in the United States. Survival rates reflect by stage at diagnosing and cancer type.
A cancer’s stage is based on the size or level of the main tumor and whether it has increased to other areas of the body, these factors cannot be modified. Environmental factors include behavioral choices, which are potentially modifiable. Which include obesity, tobacco use, poor nutrition, certain medical treatments, physical inactivity, certain infectious agents, and excessive sun exposure.
