Cango Week 6 Video Analysis: Strategies
Week 6 Video Analysis
Team Go-Getters

Issue 1: No clear strategy for expansion
CanGo has had its success, and now they are looking into the future. Their question is, “What’s going to help them grow?” and as Liz said, “Turn them into a mighty oak.”
CanGo recognizes that branching out and delving into new territory will be profitable and its popular with investors since they’re thinking of going for an IPO. The possibilities of adding e-books, streaming audio and video is hip but they also recognize that the online gaming industry is on the cutting edge for growth. With all of the brainstorming ideas CanGo has they do recognize there’s a scarcity of resources such as capital and people.
Recommendation:
The management team at CanGo

Getting the inventory data to key employees is crucial if CanGo wishes to run an efficient operation. Lack of inventory data, as well as a lack in other important information is one of CanGo’s most significant issues. Inventory data has to span three or four systems within CanGo, not just on the shop floor. The company has to take the appropriate steps to tie back inventory data to all of their sources. A recommended option for CanGo is to go paperless. The easiest way to create inventory management problems is to continue to use paper. Using paperwork to manage inventory is almost a guarantee to slow things, while creating inaccuracy and confusion. What order pickers need is real-time data," "Without automating data collection there will be piles of paper waiting to be keyed in, along with all of its negative repercussions." www.peaktech.com.…

Maquilapolis seems to me that it is doing more harm than good. I thought well it’s creating jobs for people so they can live happily, but it’s just big name companies exploiting non skilled workers. It really surprises me that the United States and Mexico let things get the way they were in the video. I agree with the women that are standing up to the companies they should fight to get better treatment and they should get paid for work they already did. These women, which make up 80% of the work force, are being deprived of their rights as humans and workers. According to the women they were constantly being harassed, pressured and being exposed to chemicals…

Have you ever wanted to do something, but have problems with it? That's what happened in the video with the Panyee Football Club boys. In the short video about the Panyee Football Club, the boys wanted to play soccer, but they did not have a court or field to play soccer. So, the boys spent every day after school building a pitch to play soccer, and eventually they built the pitch. The pitch had nails, was small, and the balls went in the water a lot.…

In the Ted Talk, Jeff Iliff describes different ways that our bodies, more specifically our internal organs, secrete waste and how this process differs in the two percent of our bodies that is the brain (2014). Iliff also stresses the importance of learning about healthy sleep patterns by mentioning the fact that we spend nearly one-third of our lives sleeping (2014). Furthermore, the video describes a process that occurs in our brains, in order to secret waste that may be lying between various cells (Iliff, 2014). When we are awake, there is very little cerebrospinal fluid (CFS) flowing through the brain. However, whenever we are sleep, there tends to be an influx of CFS flowing throughout the brain, which is what scientists are calling waste…

Watching the Tough Guise video featuring Dr. Jackson Katz was very informative. At one point in the video he discusses how the dominant group of white heterosexual men is not identified as one of the traits of violent people. In the video, he states that “one gender, men, perpetrate approximately 90% of the violence” – something that the media does not feel the need to report, as it is overlooked as a basic fact. He compares this to how we in the United States think of race, how the word conjures up “African American, Latino, Asian American, Native American, etc.” Similar, when we hear the term sexual orientation, we immediately assume that the speaker is referencing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender. And finally, when we hear gender,…

The Sarah Bartmaan video today had some very shocking mistreatment of African Americans. I don’t understand how Europeans could justify their actions of treating another human being like that. Also to know that people still went to see her pickled remains for almost a century after her death showed that it was more than one person that contributed to this. People thought that African Americans were a different species and weren’t even human. We can also see this in our society today. I grew up outside the Bronx, and my school was mainly comprised of African American and Hispanic people. My cousins that lived just outside the city in the suburbs, went schools were the population was 90% white. It is almost like our races still keep us separate…

“Like a Virgin” was full of innuendos and inter-textual meanings and the video further expands the controversy of the song. Madonna was featured leaving the Brooklyn bridge on a boat and travelling to Venice. The action of the clip is shot in Venice’s Piazza San Marco and features a provocative-looking Madonna on a gondola, a lion walking between the columns of the piazza and the statue of San Marco and alternative scenes of the performer singing as she walked through marble rooms and wore a wedding gown (Smith for out.com).…

The video I watched on Laci Green’s youtube channel was ‘She asked for it.” I learned that the things people consider you are “asking for it” are actually rights all humans are entitled too. I also learned that crimes happen when perpetrators violate someone. There are also many problems wrong with victim blaming. One of the main ones I took away from the video is that victim blaming actually causes more crimes. Also victim blaming makes it very hard for justice to be served after something has happened. All of this is important because this type of stuff happens all over the world and there are many people who are uneducated on this topic. There are many resources I would use but if something like this were to happen in my life, I would first…
