Captain America is a character in so far two movies such as Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel’s The Avengers. In these movies he plays the role of the hero that is strong, smart, has an invincible shield, and not to mention he is super attractive. At first he was just Steve Rogers before being rejected by the army in the 1940’s. Around this time there was a villain named red skull who was trying to get ahold of this serum that caused people to become invincible when it is injected into the muscles. Steve Rogers was injected with this serum and grew from being a scrawny little guy to a miraculously buff lab induced soldier. After he became super attractive, he was sent off to be a soldier and he started preforming in front of people to encourage them to join the army. Eventually he got tired of being known as the pretty boy and saved a bunch of people and ended up destroying red skull.
The first trait theory I picked that I thought would best describe Captain America is Gordon Allport’s theory. I believe there are a couple of central traits associated with Captain America. Central traits are four or five traits that distinctively define someone. The traits that I think are corresponding to Captain America would be heroic, responsible, trustworthy, protective, and brave.
The second trait theory I picked to use to describe Captain America is William Sheldon’s theory. Sheldon’s theory is about how your body structure effects your personality. Sheldon says that an ectomorph, a scrawny yet twig like person, is serious, restrained, reserved, and very self-conscious and he was! Whenever he was injected with the serum he was turned into a mesomorph, a person that is sturdy and athletic. While becoming the mesomorph that he is he became less insecure, super attractive, more confident, and very
