Capybara Informative Speech
The capybara is known as the largest rodent in the world at 1.25 meters. Its average weight is 66 kilograms. This creature has short brown hair and stubby legs. It also has small ears and a blunt snout. The capybara is mostly found in the Central and South America’s riverbanks because it is very fond of swimming and being part of the water. Also known as Hydrochoeris hydrochaeris, you can already tell that this creature is fit for swimming. It even has slightly webbed feet and a face that somehow reminds you of a beaver.Have you ever seen a large mouse scurry across your living room floor? What if that mouse was as large as four feet? You would probably be scared to bits. However, there is a rodent that has the same size and known to be a friendly …show more content…
These contain vitamin C and have special minerals. Capybaras cannot produce their own vitamin C in their bodies so it is important that their meals have the necessary amount of vitamin C. It is also important to check whether the vitamins and pellets are not yet expired. Capybaras need fresh pellets every day.

You can also allow your pet capybara to graze around, that is if you have a garden that has no toxic weeds, insecticides, and dangerous fertilizers among the grass.

Feeding capybaras with vegetables is also a good idea. There are times when you can feed them with fruits and some sweet veggies. However, do this rarely since they can get addicted to natural sugars which affect their stool.

Since this is a big rodent you would be keeping as a pet, make sure that you have a large enough space in your house. Prepare a pool of water as well where the capybara can take a sink in at times when the temperature tends to get high. You can also bring in some objects that are safe for capybaras to chew on from time to time. This includes large dog toys and untreated wood.

While the capybara likes sunlight, they also need a bit of heat during cold days. You will need to have a UVB light. Capybaras can live outdoors. As much as possible they adjust to the natural temperature of the

The capybara is the largest rodent in the world. The capybara's name comes from the native people of South America. It means "master of the grass." The scientific name of the capybara is hydrochoerus hydrochaeris, which means "water pig" in Greek. Capybaras have been in existence since the Pleistocene epoch. Their ancient ancestors were rodents that lived about sixty million years ago. The average size of a capybara is four feet in length and two feet in height. This is about the size of a sheep. Capybaras usually weigh between sixty and one hundred and forty pounds. Many people think the capybara looks like a larger version of a guinea pig. All capybaras have large flat noses, webbed feet, short legs, and no tail. Their fur is very coarse and it is usually a reddish-brown color. Capybaras also have large incisor teeth that continuously grow. Capybaras must constantly gnaw and chew on wood and nuts to wear their teeth down. To protect themselves from the hot sun, capybaras will often rest in nearby pools of water. They will also be found lying mud or in the shade.…

Once they've reached adulthood you can begin to offer them locusts, Cockroaches, Mealworms, Waxworms, Zophobas worms, Silkworms, Butterworms, Red worms, Earthworms and just about any other worm available. These are used as treats in addition to the crickets and greens. It is recommended that you purchase all insects used in feeding your bearded dragon instead of catching them, as the ones in your back yard can have parasites on them. The parasites can be transferred to your lizard or can poison them. It's also recommended that you dust the insects with a calcium supplement daily and a multi-vitamin supplement weekly. Once your bearded dragon is finished eating remove any uneaten insects from the enclosure.…
