Car Analysis
I recently graduated from college and have been living with my parents. I have decide to venture out and move into my own place. I also had an increase in pay since I started my first professional job and would like to invest in a new vehicle. I am used to using the family car to get around so having my own vehicle would be great. It would be a struggle traveling to and from work using the city bus, which would be my only option if I didn’t get myself a car. My manager had requested that I start looking for a solution due to the fact that I will be traveling to visit our clients soon. I want a little extra cargo room because I have a big family and would like to continue to do our Sunday family outings and be able to fit in one car. Also, the monthly payment needs to be in my price range. Also, I was interested in something that’s better for the environment; I think an EcoBoost engine would be a good feature to have. I have made a budget plan with all my current expenses except for transportation. I have an excess of about $1,000 a month and I would like to use it (in moderation) towards a car payment.
I am currently making $35,000 a year and about 66% of my income goes to paying bills, and that’s without a car payment. Take a look at the chart below. I have created a pie chart of my monthly expenses without
