1. The Career development session was conducted in the seminar hall on the ground floor. It had around 30 seats with study desk for writing. The class room was air-conditioned and also had projector facility with the computer connected to it. Additionally it had 2 speakers.
I felt the ambience was very impressive; the room was maintained with the proper ventilation and well lit.
The class was very well suited for a training session.
Henceforth I made my mind to have the similar class room environment for further training.
2. In the training session I had noticed participants from different nations with the majority of Asian students. A few disabled person and aged people attend the training. There were more number of male ratio when compare to female.
I was aware of pointing out any one personally or hurt their culture. In fact I was bit conscious about disabled person. The Student were more active than others.
I concluded to have a special session for the student as they need more attention.
3. The aged participants were confident in choosing their career while the students were a bit puzzled about their future career. I thought that I need to give guidance to the students where they can stabilise their career. Importantly giving motivation to the disabled person will make them confident. Therefore I have learned how to give training and motivation to the students and disabled person. I personally felt students were more responsible towards their career and participants were confident inspite of their disability.
4. I chose Holland’s theory and Bandura’s theory and applied them in my career development classes. The reason why I chose them because the Asian students prefer jobs where they can be around others who are like them. They search for environments that will let them use their skills
