Career Exploration
This course has been helpful in some aspects in my career goals and search. I learned a few new things about myself which will be very useful when pursuing my next career. I have enjoyed the management and organization of administrative offices for the last 5-7 years. Although I have received many accolades in my organization and multitasking skills, unfortunately my current job lacks the job satisfaction I am seeking and often I feel that I don’t get paid for the multitude of jobs that are expected of me. I have learned that I value several things equally when looking for a new career. First work satisfaction, second steady hours, so I can spend more time with my family and third being pay commensurate with my experience. I have learned from this course that what is conveyed through confidence I was looking at it as being cocky. While I still fear is interviewing, I will be taking cues from the forums in the course. I also learned I need to be able to accurately convey my many abilities that would be useful in many companies. Some of them include good communicator, leader, willingness to learn, and will work alongside my coworkers regardless of my position. I am still considering Office Manager and Executive Assistant at this time. Perhaps in a couple years I will look more into the Case Management. I feel that the skills I possess now would be very useful in these two professions and would allow a somewhat seamless transfer. Researching some companies, these two positions are one in the same, which may be a great mix for me. They both require that you are able to communicate with either the executives you’re working for or the staff that you are managing. I have been

I have really enjoyed this class, however, I am not going to lie, every week when we learned about new principles I wanted to take the book to my organization and hit them in the head with it to read.
