New health care forms would help facilitate some of her duties, such as appointment scheduling, correspondence, arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services, billing as well as filling or updating of medical records. Carla should take the doctor’s offer to undergo training to enable her to use sophisticated computer software.
Carla needs to admit that all new ideas are very important for our future or
risk being left behind. If she would have accepted her former classmate’s offer to work at another medical practice nearby, it would have been just a matter of time before the practice adopted improved technology. Consequently, instead of becoming a knowledgeable medical assistant in the health care reform, Carla would just have wasted her time in the long run.
I would take the doctors offer! We live in 21st century and changes are necessary. New technologies help improve quality of health care services. Quality and continuity of care improve when providers are able to access comprehensive, up-to-date information on each patient. . I would stay at the office and I would help in any way I could to make the transition as easy as possible for the patients and co-workers. In my opinion, if people are not ready for change - they are not ready for the future.
