Carry On Rainbow Rowell Analysis
The story, Carry on, written by Rainbow Rowell, portrays what it’s like during a supernatural war while living in a magical boarding school and dealing with the many unusual things that come along with that. Carry on is an extension of the “fanfiction” written in one of Rainbow Rowell’s other books, Fangirl.
The protagonist in the story is Simon Snow. Simon has the most power in the world of Mages, so much that the first time he used his magic, people all over the UK felt it. Not only is he the most powerful he also struggles with not feeling a part of the magical world as the only wizard to live in foster care. Simon also feels a lot of self-doubt about his magical abilities because of his lack of control over them. Simon and his roommate,

    Unlike McMurphy, Simon does not revel his isolation and instead chooses to isolate himself further by wandering into the forest wilderness and away from the rest of the group.
