Case 3 College Budgeting
After reviewing the three college budgeting scenarios I think Anthony can afford to attend college because his net income is looking good and he can afford they money to pay for his tuition /fees without any problems. More to that combining his income with his wife they make a lot of money that can help him in school and still take care of his family. Unlike Isabel she can’t really afford money to pay for her tuition/fees because her of her saturation her being an undocumented immigrant and working under tables she can’t really get a well-paying job to support her education. No matter the fact that she has a scholarship from church that money can’t not really cover for all her classes in college. On the other hand I think Alisha can somewhat afford money to …show more content…
Alisha can take three or more courses per semester because her parents make too much money and they can help her to pay for the courses she’s taking.

Isabel can take two courses per semester because of her having two jobs and not making enough money to pay for her classes. I also think if she takes more than two courses with that full time job that might distract her a lot to lose focus.

Anthony can take two courses per semester because he can afford the money to pay for the courses, no matter the fact that he has a family to take care of. With him taking development courses he has to really work hard in order for him to achieve his academic goal plan on time. Also he need to really focus because having to take care of four children and an elderly mother that can make him lose track on his studies so my suggestion is for him to take two or three courses per semester.

(B) . It will take Isabel more four or five years to complete her academic goals at PGCC because she is still taking developmental courses and she has not yet start her pre requisites. With her wanting to become an RN she need to test in to the nursing program which that might take a long time depending on the speed she is working

In return many students who choose nursing were leaving only after a few years, thus creating a shortage. The ADN of nursing typically focuses on clinical competencies, fundamentals and technical skill needed to care for the patients. Also, the ADN degree promotes more task-oriented nurses, basic theory and the judgment to function at the entry level. They must also demonstrate the skills necessary in life-saving practice. It generally takes about two years at a community college and the cost for this degree is more manageable. Once the nurse proves their competencies by passing the NCLEX-RN they can obtain a state license. The benefit of having ADN is that the degree itself is a much shorter timeframe and a much less expensive to complete to become a registered…

A Registered Nurse (“RN”) is a graduated trained nurse who has passed state registration examination and has been licensed to practice nursing. Some RNs work to promote general health by educating the public on warning signs and symptoms of disease. Classes offered at the bachelor’s degree level include such areas as healthcare economics, health informatics, health policy, leadership, and evidence based practice research (Blegen MA, 2013). While the clinical setting for registered nurses with a bachelor’s degree in nursing may be very comparable to that of registered nurses with an associate’s degree in nursing, those who completed bachelor’s degree in nursing programs have additional preparation and education for jobs that could include management, fiscal duties, administration, leadership and research roles.
