Why Do Students Get Paid For College
Dedicated students work hard to have good GPAs. They stay awake late doing homework and projects. These students always participate in class, and turn work in on time. As well as dedicating a lot of their time to school, making A honor roll or A&B honor roll through all the four years in high school and receiving awards based on their dedication. Even after doing all of this, when they become high school seniors, they have a giant problem ahead of them: How do I pay for college? Students whose families live in bad conditions do not have the extra money for college. They only have enough money to pay for the necessities such as rent, bills and clothes. This leaves these students who have the dedication, motivation, and work hard without any …show more content…
Yes, it is true that the government provides money, but this money does not cover all of colleges costs, and when students decide to work it can cause them to become too tired to study, and their grades begin to suffer. For example, most of my friends from last year didn’t have the enough money for college and now they don´t want to study anymore. Besides, students in high school think that should a free college education be equal, if someone gets free college, everyone should get it. But these student work for it. Nobody is giving anything; they deserve to get free college. In conclusion, dedicated students in temporary living situations should earn free college because they work hard for it and deserve it. These students should go to college and forget about having to work. Money never should be something that keeps dedicated high school students away from getting an education. Furthermore, these students demonstrate in 4 years that they are responsible enough to be in college. Therefore, students who prove themselves both in high school and college should be awarded to advantaged free
