Case Study: Define Client System

Define your client system. Provide identifying information, which may include family composition, ages, medical history, employment, education, finances, income and its sources, housing and ethnicity; OR the nature of the group, its purpose and composition; OR description of the community demographics and nature of the community problem/issue being addressed. Describe the nature of your contact with the client/client system, presenting request/s, issues, duration of the contact, extent of activity (number of interviews/contact/sessions; frequency and with whom).

3. Assessment: Using the theories discussed in class, present your assessment of the situation, including the client/ client system’s view of the situation, client/client system’s
needs and strengths, coping mechanisms, relevant environmental factors, available support systems, available resources and other salient factors. Describe how the interaction between you and the client/client system contribute to your assessment of the information presented.

4. Evaluation: Discuss your evaluation of the effectiveness of the interventions you have utilized with the client/client system. Describe the methods and procedures you applied in intervention and upon what you are basing your evaluation of their effectiveness. Discuss the client/client system’s participation in this process. Were the goals agreed upon achieved? Given the outcome of the intervention/s what would you have done differently, if anything?

This paper should be a minimum of 8 pages but no longer than 10 pages, typed, double-spaced, one inch margins. ALL CLIENT/CLIENT SYSTEM INFORMATION MUST BE DISGUISED TO PROTECT CONFIDENTIALITY. You should include a minimum of 10 references/citations. It is expected that you will use APA style. Be sure that you keep a copy of your paper for yourself. Please do not email or fax your paper to the instructor. The paper must be submitted on time.
