Case Study Dysfunctional Grieving
Hi Assitan,
Thanks for shedding some lights on this case study in your plan of care, your response was very informative. I'm in full agreeance with you that if "Ms. Jackson continues to have dysfunctional grieve such as loss of interest in her usual physical activities, feeling depressed, eating unhealthy, she can face many issues such as diabetes, hypertension, depression, and obesity." I strongly believe that if the underlying issue (ineffective coping or dysfunctional grieving) is left untouched, Mrs. Jackson may further deteriorate and may develop severe depression, social isolation and even self-harm.

Thank you for your comment and I apologize for my late response. First, I would like to address your question pertaining to whether or not the continuation of treatment would ethical. In my opinion, I believe it would be unethical and inhumane to further treatment. I have stood firmly on this idea in previous weeks. However, this is a unique case, because physicians are overriding the wishes of a family. Although, reading the case did not chance my position on the treatment being unethical, it did provoke me to consider the lasting effects of medical personnel that the family members would have. Distrust is an major issue in the physician-patient relationship; especially in minority groups. Thus, I believe, the medical personnel in Mrs.…
