Our last week at Prairie Winds was very emotional and sad. I loved having the dessert party and seeing all the residents come and eat a ton of food. The intervention that I am perposing would involve having the nurses go door to door and preform a short home visit for each resident once a month. I think this would be beneficial because it would make the residents feel important and they truly are important. One barrier to this intervention is that this intervention may add a tremendous amount of work for the nurses who are already busy with their everyday workload and they may be unwilling to participate in the intervention.
