the activities. One Lady Bee activist, Sabrina Barella, has followed in the footsteps of her older sister, Alyssa. The freshman joined Lady Bees in the beginning of the school year and has enjoyed it since. Barella states “I only attended Catholic school for seventh and eighth grade at Saint Joseph Catholic School. From kindergarten to sixth grade, I attended Discovery Elementary School”. Barella has many different hobbies, “I love every type of dancing from ballet and lyrical to hip hop and jazz. This year, I joined the Stingers Dance Team to grow in my passion. I joined the cross-country team just to try it and I have come to really enjoy running and becoming part of the cross-country family. I could not get enough of the team so I decided to also join the track and field team”. Next year, Barella is planning to explore even more clubs and sports like art and volleyball. The Lady Bees’ main goal is to promote friendship, have fun and learn about other members. Some of the activities consist of making candy-filled wine glasses to give to the teachers and carving out pumpkins together for Halloween. In addition, the club members go out to eat together at Makoto’s and bring snacks from home to share with each other. The club also offers t-shirts, which members are allowed to wear on Fridays with school shorts. The freshmen is in high hopes of one day become the president of the club to get recognized by colleges, and be a better leader in the world. “Lady Bees helped me make a lot of friends my freshmen year, I would highly recommend you to consider it and I am very glad I joined this club.” Barella adds.
