The passion begins at a very young age, pushing Hot Wheels add the word cars or toys here?across the living room floor or hanging out in the local garage or dealership eventually stemming into what is called car culture.
But what is car culture?
“A group of people with similar interests learning, sharing cars with other gear-heads and to extend our passion for cars with other people,” said Cameron Harville, a mechanical engineering senior.
Harville drives a black 2012 Ford Mustang with a 3.7 liter cyclone V6 with a 6-speed manual transmission.

They were on clearance on an online store for about $120. I had been saving up for a while to purchase them at full price so when they went on clearance I quickly scooped them up,” Harville said.
Normally these springs cost $159.99-$199.99 depending on the retailer, the same price range as one of his engineering textbooks.
However, these students use the club to help the Orlando community. Recently, the club has partnered with Volunteer UCF and the Sunday Knight Food Share to help feed the homeless community. Every Sunday night at 8 p.m. the club cruises downtown to assist with the Sunday Knight Food Share providing food and aid to the Orlando’s large homeless contingent.
“It is nice to help the community. You speak to these individuals and make a difference. One of the individuals we previously assisted came back and volunteered and said we were the turning point back to the other side,” said Arianna Dicce, a biomedical science junior.
