FACTS: Frederick E. Bouchat is an amatuer artist who has a ninth grade education and works as a security guard at the entrance of Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, in downtown Baltimore. He is known for his original art and frequently showed his work to people at the State of Maryland office building on St. Paul Street. In the fall of 1995, the Cleveland Browns’ football team relocated to Baltimore. Excited about the Cleveland Browns’ move to Baltimore, Bouchat designed a logo for the football team in November 1995. The logo consisted of a portion of the Maryland flag and a raven inspired by the late Edgar Allen Poe. Bouchat designed the logo and affixed it on a mini football and gave it to Eugene A. Conti, Jr the Secretary of the Department of Licensing and Regulation, which Conti kept on display in his office. Conti arranged a meeting on March 28, 1996 with John Moag the chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) to feature him in the employee newsletters with his sketches. Moag instructed Bouchat to fax his logo sketches to team officials whose offices were in the same building after informing him that the new teams name is Baltimore Ravens. Bouchat sent the fax of his sketches on April 1 or 2 1996, but did not keep the fax transmittal receipt. In June 1996, the Baltimore Ravens revealed their logos to the public and the logo was very similar to the logo sketches that Bouchat fax. Bouchat filed a lawsuit…
Benitez was very lucky to receive 10 years’ probation and fines. He was reckless and caused the death of a young girl. Le and her sister were in the car with Benitez, Le was partially ejected from the car and decapitated and “Benitez drove several blocks with the Le's body hanging out, then dumped Le and her 14-year-old sister at 4th and Angelina. He then drove off.” It was truly a miracle that he received probation. He violated his probation five times, which means that Benitez has zero regard for the gift he was given and he needs to be incarcerated.…
Mr. Robinson para. 122 I am not prepared to find beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Robinson was on the ice as it was not logical that three Tiger-Cats defencemen would be on the ice in the last minute of the game when the Tiger-Cats were down by two goals. The trial judge takes judicial notice of hockey strategy and uses it as her rationale for dismissing the testimony of Mr. Robinson. The belief that he would not be on the ice at this point in the game is wholly speculation.…

During a questioning, Alexander Walker was prevented from leaving the house by PC Adams positioning himself at the doorway; hence, detaining Walker for a few seconds, without touching him, despite Walker not being under arrest and PC Adams admitting to lack intention to arrest . Walker was aggressive and pushed the officer, consequently leading to PC Adams arresting Walker for a public order offence. Walker made a claim in tort seeking damages for false imprisonment, assault and malicious prosecution. At first, the claim was dismissed for the reasons that the detention had been brief and the arrest is lawful since the claimant was aware of his arrest and ‘public order’ is an adequate reason for the arrest. However, the Court of Appeal overturned…

The unjustified maltreatment of the African American race between the years 1776 and 1850 served as a dividing line between an individual’s ability to obtain freedom and equal opportunity. African American men were stripped of the rights granted by Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence, which states that “all men are created equal” and are entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The concept of owning African Americans, as slaves, contradicts the ideology present in the Declaration, in addition to the moral of slave owners. Benjamin Banneker, a free African American discussed the concepts of race and rights, in his letter addressed to Thomas Jefferson, the Secretary of State. Banneker explains that many of his ‘brethren’ were…
Since I believe Dr. Bales is violating not only an ethical code but also legal laws in the process of falsifying transcription in health records. I feel it would be necessary for me to report my findings to the collections office to let them be aware of fraudulent documentation that is leading to fraudulent charging. Dr. Bales is trying to seek more reimbursement for services he did not provide which is considered theft. The collections office is in charge of sending invoices to insurances companies for reimbursement, which solidify their involvement in the fraudulent actions even if they are unaware. In the event which the insurance companies discover these fraudulent charges, the collections office may face legal repercussions for their participation.…

The main growth strategy that Jim counted on really was based over the potential upcoming increase in demands for clean and cost cutting energy solutions. The newspaper reminded him that as energy prices will soar. Logistics for cost saving could be the origin of birth of a new and ever growing sector, and and that if he got on it early on (as he did), This could prove to be a lucrative idea.…
