The CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunication Commission) is a public organization for telecommunications and broadcasting whereas CanCon is a regulatory mandate from CRTC which requires Canadian broadcasters to dedicate 50% of content between 6 pm to midnight for Canadian content. The issue is that to what extent should CRTC and specifically, CANCON, should have influence in the global world. This issue focuses on negative impact globalization and foreign transnationals are having on Canadian culture., Canadian content is being played less and less often and is increasingly replaced imported content; as a result, the CRTC enacted CANCON, a legislation which protects Canadian culture and identity. Some people support this, voicing that it supports Canadian content whereas others say it is discriminatory to external content and it even demonstrates that Canadian content simply cannot compete…
The main priority in this scenario is Amita’s safety. The main risk is the possibility of her airway becoming compromised due to her low GCS score (Feather & Randall, 2011). There is a risk of further deterioration due to increased cranial pressure (Czosnyka, Pickard, Kirkpatrick & Hutchinson, 2012). If a patient’s GCS is lower than 8/15 they cannot maintain their own airway due to the tongue muscle relaxing and flopping back (Deutschman & Neligan, 2016). A GCS score of eight or below indicates the need for intubation and ventilation (NICE, 2017a). Because of this, NICE (2017b) suggest half-hour GCS monitoring until a GCS of 15 is achieved. An oropharyngeal adjunct should be placed near the bedside as a precaution. This…

At, 1000 hours on Tuesday, 5 February, 2013, during the CSI 142 labs classes in Block 247, room 293, a student by the name of Bosa Matlhare – while working on his java exercise brushed his elbow against the power cord of the computer while attempting to fix the Local Area Network cable on the computer that was assigned to him for that lesson. Not having observed that the power cord was loose, the electrical surge caused a shock in him, causing him to panic and bump into the monitor of the computer beside him – which we only found later had loose wires – with enough force to knock it off balance and on to the fellow student beside him, Katlego Olefhile, injury her arm as she attempted to shield herself from the monitor. She was left with a fracture in her forearm and a swollen elbow, resulting from the bump onto the table while attempting to shield herself from the monitor.…

All of these factors have a role in how the airline industry operates. Supply and demand also can affect the airline industry. After the September attacks the airline industry has suffered because people no longer trusted the airline to be safe. People stopped traveling by plane causing the airline industry to lose business even go bankrupt. Inflation, fuel prices, increasing interest rates, and oil demand have also affected the industry since they rely on fuel and a more steady economy to run their business. Airlines compete more for business because the economy is in a downfall, so they decrease fares to attract customers and add services at lower costs to lure people into using their airlines.…

I believe that violence is never the answer. This statement is what I have been carrying since the day I heard of it. Even though I believe that, it is hard to follow. With violence all around us, it is hard to know what is right and wrong. On one hand violence entertains us (movies, TV, video games, etc.) and on the other hand, violence is also the thing that can destroy us when we let it do so. Is there a difference between the violence we see in the movies and the violence we see in the real world? Any way you look at it, violence is violence.…
