ABSTRACT I would like to point out here that this female client was not known to me until she got in touch with me about 3 months ago. She heard of me through my local community with my phone number passed on to her as I had informed the heads of the Inter-Faith group and voluntary organisations to pass my information to anyone seeking psychological helps. My tutor has been kept informed and gave her approval for me to go ahead with this case-study. I’ll be using the initial- H, to protect my client’s identity, ensuring maintenance of confidentiality, respect of her human rights, preservation of her privacy and dignity using an unbiased, non-discriminatory empathetic approach.
INTRODUCTION
H is 39 years old married asian lady called me on Wednesday 13/03/2013 in the evening requesting for advice and help as she has had periods of feeling anxious, sad, tired, scared, unable to sleep, not eating well and finding it difficult to mix with people of the same ethnic background. H, thought that her problems started from the time her father died when she was 5 years old, a year after their arrival in UK, following expulsion from an African state, with all their possessions confiscated.I offered to see her on Sunday 17/03/2013 at 14.00hrs for an informal chat to start with, followed by an Initial Consultation ( Attachment 1 ), which she agreed to have on signing the consent for one session of IC (Attachment 2)
