Regardless of Manning being released by the Colts, the Brady and Manning rivalry are a series of games between the two greatest quarterbacks in the NFL. As was previously stated, Brady has played with the New England Patriots since 2000 when he was picked in the sixth round of the NFL draft. Manning, however, was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 1998, in the first round of the NFL draft and played for the Colts until he suffered a neck injury. “Brady, and Manning have played one another a total of seventeen times,” with Brady leading the series 11-6. Although Brady leads the overall series, the two are currently tied 5-5 over the last ten seasons (Myers 23). They’ve also met five times in the NFL playoffs, with Manning leading the series…

He has revolutionized the quarterback position with the way he plays. Nobody has ever played quarterback the way he does, and people will flock to him naturally. His personality is out in the open and he is not afraid to put himself out there, giving the media and sponsors a perfect pitchman for years to come. Based on this article saying Cam Newton is the next big thing in the NFL, I agree with all that is being said. There is not a more marketable athlete in the sport today that has his combination of personality and the way he plays football. Quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck have remarkably similar statistics, but Manning has been better defended. In the defensive statistics, the two teams are very close but the Broncos have the edge in this category too. Here's what linebacker Von Miller had to say about the Broncos' pass rush in the upcoming playoff game:"That is every week. Newton was initially a member of the Florida Gators before transferring to Blinn College, where his team won a national junior college football championship. Newton was then recruited by head coach Gene Chizik of Auburn University and transferred once more. He became just the third player in major college football history to both rush and pass for 20 or more touchdowns in a single season. His performance earned him the Heisman Trophy as the most outstanding college football player, and he led Auburn to their second national championship in school history, despite controversy concerning his eligibility. In his NFL debut, Newton became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw for 400 yards in his NFL regular-season opener, breaking Peyton Manning's rookie…
