Knowing the fact that Nuclear waste is dangerous it is now it is not safe to store it anywhere but then what should we do with it. But don’t think yucca mountain is the place for that. As steve Hargreaves says yucca mountain has more water in it then it seem and it can have high volcanoes then expected. Looking at this I think it is a really bad idea to store all our nuclear waste there. If there happens to be a volcanic eruption all the nuclear waste can enter the water and then end up in our water stream. This can lead to many deaths.

Any alternatives? What should be done? (Much information is available on the Internet that you can cite to support your position). You will have to investigate the Yucca Mountain option and alternative options in order to respond to these questions. One way that can be used to store nuclear waste is to inject it directly into a layer of rock deep underground. We have to keep in mind that the injection layer is easy to allow the entry of the waste and there should be hard layer on the top and the bottom of the rock to keep the waste protected in it. This technique can be used for any type of radioactive waste. This way if the rock layer are strong we can store the waste there for a longer period of time rather than keeping it at yucca mountain.
4. How do other countries that use nuclear energy safeguard their population?
The amount of nuclear waste produced every year is too much to deal with but there has to be a way to store it. Most countries store their waste in insoluble glasses and put them in stainless steel containers and place them deep underground in a stable rock structure away from
