James Bond, the man of many talents, and by sharing all of the attributes listed above this makes him extremely desirable. You Only live Twice, based in the late 1960’s, James Bond is certainly the man of his era. Likable, patriotic, well dressed, hairy, and extremely manly are few of the words that best describe James Bond in this text/film. He can be seen to represent these many traits all throughout. As quoted by Aki “I think I will enjoy very much serving under you” whether they be agent 007’s physical appearance or shown through his actions in You Only live Twice James Bond is seen to always be desirable. Likability has been the most dominant feature targeted during the film Casino Royale. Despite acting quite egotistical, James Bond is shown to be emotional, attractive observant and intelligent. These traits are portrayed through his words, actions and body language. The desire towards James Bond is shown all throughout this text in the sense that vesper slowly falls in love with James. In the scene where vesper sacrifices herself because of her guilt after betraying Bond, shows her love for him but is consequently also showing bond to be irresistible. Shown throughout both his actions and body language, James Bond often portrays egotistical aspects. In You Only Live Twice James Bond displays how large his ego really is in many instances, particularly when he decides to infiltrate the enemy’s base without the company of Kissy Suzuki. Although she was there and could have provided support, he makes her return to her island to get back-up and enters on his own, this especially shows his ignorance through his lack of patience to wait for backup although he was largely outnumbered by enemy troops. In Casino Royale, the same aspect is shown through James Bond. As M has quoted “Any thug can kill. I need you to take your ego out of the equation” It is quite obvious that James Bond’s ego is quite a major problem. He shows this after unnecessarily killing the bomb maker after a massive chase scene. Although, not everyone can be perfect. James Bond is the ideal man in every other aspect and if it weren’t for his ego, Bond wouldn’t be able to execute each mission with such
