Back when Barack Obama was running for president, the majority of votes he had, came from African-Americans and Hispanics. Only seventy-seven percent of white individuals voted for Barack Obama. There were a lot of his critics who did not want him elected simply because he was black, but instead wanted to keep Bush, the same president who started a war over in Afghanistan. But in 2008, America had elected Barack Obama for president. Many people thought that racial division would finally come to an end. But surprisingly, racism seemed to have gotten worst.
With race and racism, comes stereotyping and prejudicing. Stereotype: a simplified description applied to every person in some category. Many white people hold stereotype views against minorities especially in the workplace, and in school as well as minorities holding stereotype views against white people. Ever since the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, Arabs and Muslims have it hard trying to be socially accepted in
