Catherine Zeta-Jones Catherine Zeta-Jones released in the year 2011 that she battles severe depression caused from her bipolar II disorder. Catherine, most famous for her academy award for best supporting actress for Chicago in 2002, spoke out about her illness to rid the stigma of mental illness. She also spoke out to help other people know that there is help available. She also has spoken about how her illness has made her appreciate life so much more. For her to speak out about her illness helps others to know that nobody is perfect and illnesses can happen to anyone. Catherine was born in Swansea in the United Kingdom. She was born on September 25, 1969. She is now 44 years old. She is married to Michael Douglas and has two kids, Carys and Dylan. From a young age, Catherine was dancing and acting. She became famous threw numerous musicals and movies. She has contributed to the society in a number of different charities including Elton John AIDS Foundation and Cinema For Peace. It is clear through the 9 charities she donates to that she helps the community. Her charitable heart is a good influence to others to give back and care for their communities. In 2011, Catherine sought out treatment for her bipolar disorder and has been rather open to living with it. She admitted herself into Silver Hills Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut on April 6 in 2011 for a five day treatment. In later years, she attended a rehabilitation facility to treat her bipolar disorder on April 30 of 2013. Bipolar disorder and depression all contribute to your emotional and mental well-being.
