CAUSE AND EFFECT ESSAY
Cause And Effect Essay
99.9 percent of American does this every day, and it has become a habit that we should all stop doing to better our safety. I’m sure you are thinking what this could be because everyone doses many things each day. I bet you have guessed it Texting and driving, you don’t realize how many people take part in texting and driving every second of the day, but none of can really tell the cause of why we all do it but we can assume why people text and drive.
In today’s society almost everyone has a cell phone and has internet and texting, but we don’t text, tweet or Facebook in correct place we choose to do it when we shouldn’t. Texting and driving is becoming a law in the world because it is causing numerous wrecks its just like drinking and driving it’s just as bad. So why do we choose to text and drive.
Many people do not like to talk on the phone they think it will be faster and easier just to shoot a text, but in reality it’s not it cause many accidents, Also many do not like to talk face to face and tell them to their face and they think since they are texting they are better and able to say what they want to say without saying it to them. These are just some reason that I have thought of. When you are in meetings and are not able to talk on the phone it is acceptable but not while you are in a vehicle.
The effect toward texting and driving are not only hurtful toward you but also the family. Many people that text and drive tend to have a wreck and kill or injured someone else or even there self’s it’s not something you want to be known for, or even remember why you are sitting in a jail sale because you killed someone.
So why do people. Because they think it’s faster and causes less pain but little do they know they can be making a big impact on someone else’s live or even you own so don’t text and drive it’s not worth the headache of what could happen

A reason why texting and driving is a serious issue is because it causes a disproportionate amount of accidents every year. In 2012, 3,328 people were killed and 421,000 were injured in distraction-affected crashes (NHTSA). It’s a shocking realization that so many lives are taken every year over something that could have been simply avoided, yet the number of accidents still continue to rise. Part of the reason that so many lives are being taken away is because driving while using a cellphone is a distraction that can inevitably hinder…

One of the big obvious reasons is that it is extremely dangerous (2C R.W) and nearly 500,00 people are injured annually. Over 6,00 are killed each year because of drivers talking, texting, and emailing behind the wheel. Once you are on the road, right when you pick up your phone, you are 23 times more likely to get in an accident than non-texting drivers (4A K.S + R.W). Not only do you put yourself at risk but you put others also. Nicole Meredith, 18, experienced the dangers of teexting while driving as well as John Breen, 28. Nicole and John both were texting and both totaled their cars due to this mistake. Nicole survived with a story to tell, but John left the world, torn and shattered. Margay Schee, 13, was also unlucky when her school bus was rear ended by an 18-wheeler who was found texting while driving. It could have been prevented if they had waited to open/recieve these text messages.(Edgins) (Breen) (Burgos) (Oprah)…

With texting and driving the outcomes are greater. Let’s give it the benefit of the doubt. Let’s say composing and sending a text message takes 3 seconds to complete. In those 3 seconds, you could have ran over an old lady, hit the car in front of you, veered in the path of oncoming traffic or even ran over an object in the road that blows out a tire. It only takes a split second to cause an accident. The point that I am trying to make is, unless you are bionic or an alien from another planet, your brain will only allow you to fully engage in the task of driving or texting, not both. You may think that you are able to text and drive at the same time but the study from the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute confirms that texting while driving increases the chances of getting into an accident by 2,300 percent. That is not a typo, it means you are 23 times more likely to get into an accident if you choose to text and drive at the same time. I think it is…

There is rarely any legitimate reason to text and drive. The vast majority of the texts I receive and send are not life or death situations that require my immediate attention, but when I answer that text, I put myself in a life or death situation. I’m also failing in the responsibility that I and every other person takes up when they get behind the wheel, to drive to the best of my abilities in order to keep myself and those around me safe. It would hurt nothing if I was to simply ignore my phone for the duration of the trip, then answer any messages I’ve received. So by texting while driving, I’m putting at risk the lives of all around me, plus my own, all so that can have conversation that could…
