Cause and Effect Essay The first horror movie I ever saw
I can remember like it was yesterday I walked into a dark movie theater the first time without my parents excited and scared all at the same time, it was my first time seeing a horror movie. It was the summer of 1984 everybody was talking about this scary movie that they had saw with this scary guy with knives for fingers. Yes I am talking about the first Nightmare on Elm Street. It was Supposed to be one of the scariest movies ever to come to a theater since Steven King’s Thing.
I remember how tingly I felt when they curtains went up and they started to show previews for up and coming movies when my sister grabbed my arm and said you are going to be so scared that you won’t be able to sleep tonight. Then the movie started and I saw the girl walking into the boiler room and there he was Freddy Krueger himself. He jumped I jumped. Someone in the movie would scream and everyone in the theater would scream.
I was so shaken halfway through the movie but I wasn’t sure if it was because I was scared or still excited. Then of course the excitement did not stop. Freddy kept on killing teenagers with those knives like fingers. Then I noticed my sister was crying because she was so scared and I started to laugh at her, when all of a sudden I was almost in tears myself.
Johnny Depp was on the screen they were having a sleepover in the movie when they kept telling each other everything will be okay just don’t fall asleep. Freddy was in the dream of the character Johnny Depp played, I was freaking out how could someone not notice that they were in a dream let alone a scary guy with knives for fingers was in the dream to.
